District Attorney Gregory D. Totten announced today that Kenneth Price (DOB 5/17/69) has been convicted by a jury for the July 26, 2008, first-degree murder of his mother, Newbury Park resident Linda Price. The jury also found true the special allegation that the murder was committed during the course of a robbery. Because the victim was 67 years old at the time of the murder, the jury found Price guilty of elder abuse causing death.

Sentencing in this matter is set for December 7, 2009, at 9:00 a.m. in courtroom 25 of the Ventura County Superior Court. Price faces life without the possibility of parole.
