District Attorney Gregory D. Totten announced today that Don't Borrow Trouble® Ventura County will be presenting a CreditSmart Workshop. The workshop, which is open to the public is being offered free of charge, and is designed to help potential homeowners and borrowers learn about the following: Establishing and maintaining good credit, financial goal setting, understanding credit scoring, avoiding credit traps and restoring your credit score.

 

The workshop will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2008, at the Ventura County Government Center 's Lower Plaza Assembly Room within the Hall of Administration at 800 S. Victoria Avenue in Ventura . Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. and the workshop will run from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. The instructors for the CreditSmart Workshop are attorneys Erik Feingold and Charlene Williams, who are both members of the Real Estate Fraud Advisory Team (REFAT); established in 2005 in conjunction with the Ventura County District Attorney's Office.
