District Attorney Gregory D. Totten announced today that Ian Morrow (DOB 3/14/69) was arrested on four outstanding arrest warrants on multiple counts of assault with a deadly weapon, possession of illegal weapons, being an ex-felon in possession of weapons, criminal threats, and being a member of a criminal street gang.

In January 2008, Ian Morrow failed to appear in court on many of the above charges. Arrest warrants were issued for him by the Honorable Judge Kevin McGee of the Ventura County Superior Court with bail set at $1.5 million. District attorney investigators working with the Ventura Police Department Special Enforcement Team attempted to locate Morrow. During the investigation, a search warrant was served at his residence in Ventura . Morrow was not at the residence at the time; however, additional weapons were located. Another arrest warrant was then issued with bail set at $1 million.

District attorney investigators and members of the Ventura Police Department continued the investigation into locating Morrow. When they developed information that he had possibly fled the state, the Ventura Resident Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation provided assistance. Information was then developed that Morrow was in the Pahrump, Nevada area. Assistance from the Las Vegas Federal Bureau of Investigation Fugitive Task Force, which consists of federal agents and detectives from the Las Vegas Metro and Henderson Police Departments, followed up on information provided by the Ventura agencies and located Morrow on February 14, 2008 in Pahrump, Nevada.

Morrow is currently being held in Las Vegas on the outstanding arrest warrants with a total bail of $2.5 million pending his return to Ventura County .

District Attorney Gregory D. Totten said, "This cooperative team effort between agencies led to the arrest of a dangerous criminal. It is this type of cooperation we have in Ventura County that helps us provide for a safer community."
