District Attorney Gregory D. Totten announced today that Felix Lee Dua, Jr. (DOB 10/04/84), of Corona, has been sentenced to serve 180 days in jail after being caught in an Internet sting operated by the Ventura County Sheriff's Department. Dua was convicted of felony Internet child luring. This matter was investigated by the Thousand Oaks Police Sexual Assault / Internet Crimes Against Children Unit and the Southern California High Tech Task Force.

In November 2007, Dua corresponded on the Internet with an undercover investigator posing as a 13-year-old girl. Dua arrived at a pre-arranged meeting place in Thousand Oaks intending to have sex with the 13-year-old girl. When Dua arrived with alcohol and condoms, he was arrested.

On January 23, 2008, Judge Bruce Clark placed Dua on felony probation for three years and sentenced him to serve 180 days in jail. Additional conditions of probation include sex offender counseling and mandatory sex offender registration.
